ABOUT Proud Keeper of the Moon and Warrior of Light, Pahja Nyancoya left her happy family and home in the Black Shroud to become an adventurer five years after the Seventh Umbral Calamity. At 5'3" she is diminutive for all races on the Source, but tall for a woman of her race -- which is unmistakable due to her cat-like ears and long, slightly fluffy tail. Cheerful and well-meaning, the gullible nature of her youth has faded into begrudging acceptance that "this might as well happen". Best described as a creature of chaos, she was voted "most likely to be up at three am, running around half-naked" by the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.

PERSONALITY G R E M L I N

BACKSTORY Pahja's family has long lived in the border of the Shroud with Ala Mhigo, venturing into both territories when it suited them. Eschewing both city-state's attempts to assimilate them, her tribe kept to themselves as an independent actor. This, unfortunately, would cause them to be in the middle of any number of conflicts, including the Autumn War that erupted only a few years after Pahja's birth. For a tribe that stressed their neutrality, both Gridana and Ala Mhigo considered them as members of the opposite side, and treated them as such. In spite of the suspicious nature of both nations, the tribe of Pahja's birth treated the land and the forest that they relied on with respect and appropriate reverence; it wouldn't do for them to upset the elementals of the Twelveswood, considering they lived there, too. Although they were known to harass any Gridanian or Ala Mhigan who strayed too close to the tribe, Pahja hardly considers it something to be ashamed of -- especially considering the broad brush that Gridanians tended to paint all Keepers of the Moon with.
